Maybe I’m just from a stupid European backwater, but we do not shy away from making long-winded structural and social critiques of the prevailing market and economic systems. In many ways, it would great if classic capitalism was actually what we lived under. Unfortunately, it’s more like an authoritarian oligarchic feudalism with capitalist and democratic ornamentations designed to keep is pacified like living in the Matrix.
Anyway, yes, the only way out is through and beyond. You can’t fight the prevailing world order while stuck inside of it. To topple it, you have to already be living/showing what a future free of capitalist dogmas looks like.
And yeah maybe start by being artsy for arts sake.
